TimeMint: Earn Screen Time

Terms & Conditions

Effective October 13, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of TimeMint: Earn Screen Time (the “Application”), provided by Byeshe (“we,” “us,” or “our”) as a freemium service with advertising and optional paid subscriptions. By using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Application. Minors must obtain guardian permission where required by applicable law.

What TimeMint provides

TimeMint helps you manage selected apps and earn screen-time minutes through activities such as walking, exercise, focus sessions, reading, journaling, and photo tasks. You can set limits and goals, save earned minutes in a Time Bank, and review local progress. Features depend on your device, permissions, settings, available version, and purchased plan.

Minutes, XP, balances, and Time Bank entries are virtual progress units. They have no monetary value, are not deposits, investments, wages, or transferable property, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any Time Bank growth or bonus is a virtual reward. TimeMint does not pay you for exercising or using the Application.

Safety and limitations

The Application is a consumer productivity and fitness-motivation tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. Step counts, pose detection, posture reminders, distance estimates, task verification, and rewards can be inaccurate. Exercise within your ability, use a safe environment, stop if you experience pain or dizziness, and seek professional advice when appropriate. Do not operate tasks or look at the screen while driving or in unsafe situations.

Blocking, reminders, and tracking may fail or stop because of revoked permissions, battery restrictions, force-stopping, system or hardware limitations, software errors, or device changes. Do not rely on TimeMint for emergency communication, safety-critical monitoring, or guaranteed parental supervision. Keep essential communication and system apps accessible.

Permissions and Commitment Lock

You decide which apps to limit and which permissions to grant. Usage access and accessibility support app monitoring, blocking, and session overlays; camera, activity recognition, precise location, Health Connect, and notifications support their respective features. Denying or revoking a permission may make those features unavailable. Active running and cycling tasks can continue recording location in a foreground service until you finish them, including when the screen is off or you use another app. Live step counting can also continue in a foreground service, with an ongoing notification, while a walking goal locks your apps or while you use TimeMint’s motion-based step counting. Optional Health Connect synchronization updates recent steps and enabled workout imports when you open TimeMint. Periodic background synchronization requires a separate grant and may be delayed by Android. Previous-day step rewards are deposited into the Time Bank without duplicate credit. Denying background access does not prevent foreground synchronization. Battery exemptions are optional. The Privacy Policy explains the permissions, sensitive data, storage, advertising-provider access, and withdrawal controls. Accepting these Terms does not itself grant permissions or consent to every use of sensitive data.

The commitment lock intentionally prevents loosening certain restrictions and resetting activity data inside the Application while it is on. A request to release it takes effect at the next local midnight and can be canceled before then. Review these restrictions before enabling it. The commitment lock does not prevent you from revoking permissions, clearing Application storage, or uninstalling through Android system controls.

Your content and local data

You retain ownership of your journal entries and other content. You are responsible for what you capture, export, or share, including respecting other people’s privacy and rights. TimeMint processes your content on your device to provide its features.

Activity data, GPS route sketches, and tidy-up photo thumbnails are stored locally. Some records are automatically removed as retention limits are reached. Clearing storage, uninstalling, device loss, or storage failure can erase them; we do not guarantee recovery. Selected JSON or CSV exports are not a complete backup and do not include routes, photos, or all settings. Keep any copies you need and protect information you share.

Advertising

The free version may show ads supplied by third-party providers. Ad content, frequency, and availability can vary by version, region, configuration, and privacy choices. Advertisements may link to external products or services; their providers are responsible for those offers. A paid plan may remove specified ads or provide other benefits as stated on its purchase screen. We do not endorse an offer merely because it appears in an ad. Advertising and purchase attribution data are described in the Privacy Policy.

Purchases, subscriptions, and trials

Purchases are optional. Prices, currency, billing periods, paid features, trial eligibility, and promotional conditions are displayed before you confirm a purchase through Google Play. Google Play processes charges using your selected payment method, including applicable taxes. The offer you accept determines your entitlement; features and offers may vary by version, region, and Google Play account.

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew at the displayed price and billing interval unless canceled before renewal. If a free or discounted trial is offered, it converts to the subscription shown at checkout unless canceled before the trial ends. Prepaid plans, if offered, last for their stated term without automatic renewal. Price changes, notices, and any required consent follow Google Play’s rules and applicable law.

You can manage or cancel a subscription through Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation generally prevents the next renewal, while access continues through the period already paid for as described by Google Play. Uninstalling TimeMint, deleting activity data, or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. See Google Play’s cancellation guidance.

Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies and applicable consumer law. Cancellation does not automatically provide a refund; mandatory refund and withdrawal rights remain available. Restoring a purchase requires the Google Play account used for that purchase, a valid entitlement, and any necessary connectivity. Restoration does not recover local activity records, routes, journals, or balances. Contact play@byeshe.com for purchase or entitlement support.

License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to use the Application in accordance with these Terms. Its software, design, branding, graphics, and included materials are owned by or licensed to Byeshe. You may not misuse the Application, infringe others’ rights, distribute malicious code, or interfere with its services. Except where applicable law permits, you may not copy, sell, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative versions of the Application.

Third-party services and connectivity

The Application uses Android, Google Play and its billing services, Health Connect, Firebase, ML Kit, and advertising or attribution services. Their applicable terms and policies govern their services. External links, advertising offers, payment services, and health-data source apps are operated by their respective providers. Many activity features work locally; ads, purchases, restoration, configuration, attribution, SDK updates or metrics, analytics, crash diagnostics, and external links may use an internet connection. You are responsible for device, connection, and carrier charges.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains sensitive permissions, local routes and photos, advertising, purchases and attribution events, technical services, analytics and crash reports, retention, export, and deletion. Read it before granting sensitive permissions or sharing information.

Changes, availability, and termination

We may update features and reward rules for compatibility, safety, security, or operational reasons. We do not guarantee that all features work on every device or remain continuously available. Changes to paid entitlements are subject to the accepted purchase terms and applicable mandatory consumer protections. You can stop using the Application at any time and separately cancel a subscription through Google Play. We may restrict access for material misuse or legal requirements where permitted by law.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Application is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, accurate activity recognition, successful app blocking, or data recovery. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Application to the extent the law allows such exclusions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

Updates to these Terms

Revised Terms will be posted here with an updated effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where legally permitted. If you disagree, stop using the Application and manage any subscription through Google Play. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
